Requirement vary depnding on your country of origin, Regulations are subject to change and should be checked before departure. GCC nationals (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia) do not need a visa to enter Sharjah. Citizns from many other countiries get an automatic visa upon arrival at the airport. The entry visa is valid for 60 days and can be renewed for a further 30 days, at the immigration department. Visitors from countreis that do not get an automatic visa need to apply before travelling.
This can be done thourgh some airlines or by the hotel thtat you will be staying at. A transit visa up to 96 hours is available to those travelling with a confrmed onward booking on any international carrier to a destination other than that of their original departure.
Certain medications, including codeine, Temazepam and Prozac are banned even though they are widely available in other countries.
